This performance is a reenactment of my personal transformation from a civilian/student to "soldier". In this reenactment the simple gesture of a haircut is consumed by cultural and social implications that force a shift in an internalized Identity. This points to the instability, and simultaneously the power, inherent in the narratives and myths that construct identity.
